Spotlight Accomplishment Award-Team & Individual

This award is given to a team or an individual who exemplifies elite achievement at their level. The award can be given to any athlete, coach, or team who has achieved state, national or world attention. This could mean a championship or highest team award. 

Crystal Award-Male & Female

This award is given to a former athlete or coach whose work ethic and career has impacted our community in St. Bernard. This person has left a lasting impression on the playing field or in the community. 

The Meraux Foundation Special Olympic Amateur Athlete of the Year-Male & Female

This Award is given to a special olympic amateur athlete who is achieving great things in his/her sport. The athlete’s accomplishments must exemplify a hard working student athlete and an athlete with amazing character. 

The Ronnie Lamarque Amateur Athlete of the Year-Male & Female

This Award is given to a high school junior, senior, or freshman in college whose career has set a standard for excellence and achievement. This athlete has to be one of the best in his/her sport and has to exemplify outstanding character and be nominated by his mentors or coaches. 

Gulf Coast Humanitarian Award

The Gulf Coast Humanitarian Award is such a tremendous life award. When you think of being a humanitarian, you have to think of being a good human. This honor is given to someone in St. Bernard Parish who promotes athletics, and has been a leading advocate for the advancement in our community. Good character and established community involvement is important. 

Elphage Caillouette Special Recognition Award

This award is given to an athlete whose career has ended because of injury or family/outside obligations that have not allowed them to continue to pursue their dreams. Injuries and setbacks have forced this athlete to journey on another road but has kept their heart for their sport by supporting others.

Hall of Fame Inductee

This person’s accomplishments demonstrate the highest level of achievements in their career. Their career extends beyond high school achievements and has been recognized by higher level organizations. Their achievements extend beyond the playing field and character is exemplified.
